چکیده
Abstract Background Lipid transporters play an essential role in lipid delivery and distribution, but their influence on seed oil production oilseed crops is not well studied. Results Here, we examined the effect of two transporters, FAX1 ( fatty acid export1 ) ABCA9 ATP-binding cassette transporter subfamily A9 metabolism plant Camelina sativa . Overexpression (OE) increased weight size, with -OEs increasing length width, respectively, whereas / both. FAX1- OE ABCA9- displayed additive effects content yield. Also, affected membrane composition developing pods, especially phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol. The expression some genes involved synthesis, such as DGAT2 , PDAT1 LEC1 was seeds - and/or -OEs. Conclusion These results indicate that can potentially be applied to improving camelina production.

Identification of bottlenecks in the accumulation of cyclic fatty acids in camelina seed oil
Modified fatty acids (mFA) have diverse uses; for example, cyclopropane fatty acids (CPA) are feedstocks for producing coatings, lubricants, plastics and cosmetics. The expression of mFA-producing enzymes in crop and model plants generally results in lower levels of mFA accumulation than in their natural-occurring source plants. Thus, to further our understanding of metabolic bottlenecks that l...
متن کاملAcyl-ACP thioesterases from Camelina sativa: cloning, enzymatic characterization and implication in seed oil fatty acid composition.
Acyl-acyl carrier protein (ACP) thioesterases are intraplastidial enzymes that terminate de novo fatty acid biosynthesis in the plastids of higher plants by hydrolyzing the thioester bond between ACP and the fatty acid synthesized. Free fatty acids are then esterified with coenzyme A prior to being incorporated into the glycerolipids synthesized through the eukaryotic pathway. Acyl-ACP thioeste...

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is one of the major oil crops and is the fifth largest source of plant oils in the world. Numerous genes participate in regulating the biosynthesis and accumulation of the storage lipids in seeds or other reservoir organs, among which several transcription factors, such as LEAFY COTYLEDON1 (AtLEC1), LEC2, and WRINKLED1 (WRI1), involved in embryo development also con...

Background: Nitric oxide is a free radical that recently has emerged as a key signaling molecule in regulating important physiological processes in plants. Objective: In this work, sodium nitroprusside (SNP) was utilized as the donor of nitric oxide to investigate the effects of exogenous nitric oxide on essential oil, rosmarinic acid and antioxidant activity of in vitro-cultured Melissa offi...
متن کاملDevelopment of omega‐3‐rich Camelina sativa seed oil emulsions
Camelina sativa seed is an underutilized oil source rich in omega-3 fatty acids; however, camelina oil is not fully explored for food applications. Its high omega-3 content makes it susceptible to oxidation, which may limit food applications. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to investigate the potential of camelina seed oil to form physically and oxidatively stable emulsions as a...
